Indy was originally a feral dog in the Bahamas... he roamed around on the beach fending for himself until he was about 8 months old. Life was ruff and he was happy to eventually end up at the Grand Bahamas Humane Society where he lived under the name Dan for about half a year. As luck would have it, he was airlifted to North America through a special program the GBHS had. There, he changed his name to Kisling, (don't ask me why?) and stayed at a no-kill shelter for another 6 months or so... turns out he was painfully shy, so he was passed over a lot when people came looking for a fun, happy dog. 'The human' saw him on petfinder and fell in love with him immediately... the combination of his sad story and devastaingly handsome beard sealed the deal... she had finally found her dog. Upon closer look at the posting though, she realized he was actually located in Indiana, USA... well that was the end of that... there was absolutely no way she was going to Indiana to get a dog! But she just couldn't stop thinking about him... how far was Indiana from Toronto anyway? Well, turns out it was only 8 hours away and since she loved a good road trip, off to Indiana she went.
