Melanie M. Carter serves Calgary, Alberta and area, specializing in family law Calgary services. Melanie also works in Real Estate, Emergency Protection Order & Domestic Assault law. Melanie has experience with the legal and other issues that arise within family dynamics. She has worked with people from all backgrounds resulting in a strong understanding of the complexity of these dynamics. She has therapeutic training stemming from her work at Hull Child and Family Services from 1993 to 2009. Just prior to starting her law studies she facilitated a therapeutic skills program (Dialectic Behaviour Therapy DBT) at the Drumheller Federal Institution. Through the Developmental Disabilities Resource Centre (DDRC) and other governmental agencies, she continues to work with long term clients funded through the Person with Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD) and Assured Income for the Severally Handicapped (AISH) programs. Melanie earned her law degree at the University of Calgary and was then called to the bar in Alberta.
